    Solution :

Secretory products of endocrine glands are known as hormones. These are the organic compound, secreted in small amount and can inhibit or modify the cellular activities of the body. Chemically hormones are of three kinds: Steroids: Steroids hormones are made up of cholesterol which is a lipid derivative and synthesized by liver cells. These hormones are lipid soluble that is why their molecules pass freely through the lipid bilayer of the cell membrane, e.g., Sex hormones. Peptide hormones: made up of amino acids chain, e.g., Insulin, prolactin etc. Amino acid derivatives: smallest hormones, derived from histidine, tryptophan and tyrosine.
