    D)        Horizontal

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Various types of eggs are found on the basis of amount of yolk such as Alecithal do not contain yolk e.g., Eggs of humans. Microlecithal contain a little amount of yolk e.g., Eggs of Amphioxus, tunicates, urchins etc. Mesolecithal contain a moderate amount of yolk e.g., Lung fishes and toads. Macrolecithal contain large amount of yolk e.g., Birds, reptiles, bony fishes, prototherial mammals. Due to presence of high amount of yolk the macrolecithal eggs devide by meroblastic cleavage in which the cleavage furrows cannot cut through the heavy yolk.
