AIIMS AIIMS Solved Paper-2001

  • question_answer
A sings with a frequency n and B sings with a frequency 1/8 that of A. If the energy remains the same and the amplitude of A is a, then amplitude of B will be :

    A)  \[2a\]

    B)                                         \[8a\]

    C)         \[4a\]

    D)         \[a\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

                    The energy of a wave travelling with velocity v is given by \[8\mu F\] Also v = amplitude \[6\mu F\] angular velocity \[4\mu F\]   \[2\mu F\] \[300\times {{(4)}^{0.4}}K\]   \[150\times {{(4)}^{0.4}}K\] \[250\times {{(4)}^{0.4}}K\] Also       \[{{\rho }_{1}}\] where n is .frequency,       \[{{\rho }_{2}}\]  \[{{v}_{1}}\] \[{{v}_{2}}\]   \[\frac{{{\rho }_{1}}}{{{\rho }_{2}}}=4\] It is given that energy remains the same. Hence,  \[\frac{{{V}_{1}}}{{{V}_{2}}}\] \[\frac{1}{2}\]   \[\frac{1}{4}\]      Given, \[{{s}^{2}}\]                             \[{{m}_{1}},{{m}_{2}}\]   \[{{m}_{3}}\] \[\frac{1}{{{m}_{1}}}:\frac{1}{{{m}_{2}}}:\frac{1}{{{m}_{3}}}\]   \[1:1:1\]
