If both assertion and reason are false statements then mark.

Assertion: The \[C{{u}_{2}}O\] bond length in \[FeS\] is shorter than that of \[Co\]. Reason \[C{{u}_{2}}S\] is an ionic compound.

    A)  1

    B)         2

    C)         3

    D)         4

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

The \[O-O\] bond length is shorter in \[{{O}_{2}}{{F}_{2}}\] than in \[{{H}_{2}}{{O}_{2}}\] due to higher electro negativity of F atom \[{{H}_{2}}{{O}_{2}}\] is a covalent compound.
