Assertion: The size of a hydrogen balloon increases as it rises in air. Reason: The material of the balloon can easily stretched.

    A)  1

    B)                                        2

    C)        3

    D)        4

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

A hydrogen balloon or weather balloon carries instruments aloft to send back information on atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity by means of a small expendable measuring device. The balloon itself produces the lift and is usually made of a highly flexible latex material. The ascent rate can be controlled by the amount of gas the balloon is filled with weather balloons reach sufficient heights due to diminishing pressures causing the balloon to expand to such a degree that it disintegrates.
