    The ligands which have vacant \[Si{{O}_{2}}\]-type orbital and that can receive back donated \[Ti{{O}_{2}}\] electrons are called \[Ba{{O}_{2}}\]-acid ligands or \[{{H}_{3}}P{{O}_{2}},{{H}_{3}}P{{O}_{3}}\]-acceptor ligands e.g., CO, NO have lone pair as well as \[{{H}_{3}}P{{O}_{4}}\] or \[{{H}_{3}}P{{O}_{4}}>{{H}_{3}}P{{O}_{2}}>{{H}_{3}}P{{O}_{3}}\] (antibonding) orbitals, which take part in the formation of n bond with central metal atom as observed in carbonyls. \[BF_{4}^{-}\]is a unidentate ligands. \[NH_{4}^{+}\] (ethylene diamine) is a bidentate ligand. \[Cu(N{{H}_{3}})_{4}^{2+}\] oxalate ion is a bidentate, chelating (ring forming) ligand.
