    Solution :

    Ginger is an example of rhizome (e.g., Prostrate stem creeping horizontally undersoil surface). It has no effect of gravity. Rhizome of ginger contains nodes, internodes and scaly leaves. Buds are emerges from axils of scaly leaves. Response of light to plants is known as phototropism. In this sense shoot show positive phototropism and root show negative phototropism.
