    Assertion: Deficiency of sulphur causa chloiosis in plants. Reason: Sulphur is a constituent of chlorophyll, proteins and nucleic acids.

    Solution :

    Due to deficiency of sulphur, chlorosis often appears first in the young leaves but sulphur is not a constituent of chlorophyll and nucleic acid it only helps in chlorophyll formation and also found in some amino acids e.g., cysteine, cystine.
