Assertion: The true nucleus is generaly absent in E. coli and other prokaryotes Reason: An undifferentiated, unorganized fibrillar nucleus without any limiting membrane is observed in prokaryotic cells

    A) If both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of the Assertion.

    B) If both Assertion and Reason are true but the Reason is not the correct explanations of Assertion.

    C) If Assertion is true, but Reason is false.

The genetic material of prokaryotic cell is dispersed in cytoplasm and is known as nucleoid.
