    Solution :

    Earth is heated by suns infrared radiation. The earth also emits radiation most in infrared region. These radiations are reflected back due to heavy gases like 003 by atmosphere. These back radiation keep the earths surface warm at night. This phenomenon is called greenhouse effect. When the atmosphere were absent the temperature of earth falls.
