    D)  If both Assertion and Reason are false statements, then mark

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Noise level up to 64 dB (decibel) is well tolerated. Prolonged exposure to noise level to 80 dB or more leads to loss of hearing ability, fatigue, nervousness, fever, hypertension, gastric disorder, increase in cholesterol level and dilation of pupil of the eye. As the jet aeroplanes have the noise up to 150-160 dB, the inhabitants in the vicinity of busy airports are likely to experience above health hazards. Maximum noise level is recorded in rockets, ie, 180 dB. Therefore, assertion and reason are true and reason is the correct explanation.
