  • question_answer
A rocket is fired upward from the earth surface such that it creates an acceleration of \[19.6\,m/{{s}^{2}}\]. If after 5 s, its engine is switched off, the maximum height of the rocket from earths surface would be

    A)  245 m

    B)         490 m

    C)  980m

    D)         735m

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Speed of rocket after 5s. \[=\frac{6.63\times {{10}^{-34}}\times 3\times {{10}^{8}}}{590\times {{10}^{-9}}}\] \[=\frac{6.63\times 3}{59}\times {{10}^{-18}}\] \[=\frac{90}{100}\times 10=9W\] From     \[=\frac{9\times 59}{6.63\times 3\times {{10}^{-18}}}=2.67\times {{10}^{19}}\] \[=200\text{ }MeV\] \[=200\times 1.6\times {{10}^{-19}}\times {{10}^{6}}\] When engine is turned off \[=200\times 1.6\times {{10}^{-13}}\] \[P-1000kW\] \[=\frac{Power}{Energy}\] Maximum height from earth surface \[=\frac{{{10}^{o}}}{200\times 1.6\times {{10}^{-13}}}\]
