    Assertion To float, a body must displace liquid whose weight is greater than actual weight of the body. Reason During floating the body will experience no net downward force in that case.

    A)  If both Assertion and Reason are true and the Reason is the correct explanation of the Assertion,         

    B)  If both Assertion and Reason are true but the Reason is not the correct explanation of the Assertion.

    C)  If Assertion is true but Reason is false.

    D)  If both Assertion and Reason are false.

    Solution :

    A body displaces as much amount of liquid as the actual weight of the body to float it. In case of floating, no net downward force acts on the body.
