                    Landsteiner and Werner (1940) discovered Rh antigens in the rhesus monkey.                 Now it is found in most human beings. Humans with this factor are said to be \[R{{h}^{+}}\] (positive) and humans without this factor are said to be \[R{{h}^{-}}\](negative). The problem due to Rh incompatibility arises when the blood of \[R{{h}^{+}}\] person and \[R{{h}^{-}}\] women mixes up during pregnancy or through blood transfusion.
