    Solution :

                    In round seeds (RR/Rr) starch-branching enzyme (SBE-I) is found but is absent from wrinkled seeds. In rr seeds, a small DNA segment interferes with SBE-1 activity so that starch is not formed and free sugar gets accumulated. Resulting high osmotic pressure in rr seeds leads to shrinkage and wrinkling.
