    Photorespiration is a light dependent process which occurs in \[{{C}_{3}}\]plants. It is opposite to photosynthesis because during this process, uptake of \[{{O}_{2}}\]and release of \[C{{O}_{2}}\]take place. Due to presence of Kranz anatomy, \[{{C}_{4}}\] plants do not show photorespiration.
