    D)  All of the above

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

In gout, there is accumulation of uric acid crystals in synovial joints. The accumulation makes movement both difficult and painful. Uric acid, a product of nucleotide metabolism is normally excreted in the urine. Gout sufferer should avoid meat, particularly liver, kidney, brain, thymus gland and other glands. Rheumatoid Arthritis is an inflammation of the synovial membrane in synovial joints. Synovial membrane which is the source of synovial fluid becomes in flammed and produces too much fluid. The joints swell and become extremely painful. In response to the inflammation and swelling a hard tissue forms over the cartilage articulation. The tissue makes the joint stiff. Osteoarthritis affects only the cartilage and synovial joints. The cartilage erodes and new is deposited in lumps. The lumps make movement difficult and finally impossible. Many people who suffer from this form of arthritis have no pain but their fingers may curl and permanently arches and their wrists and other joints may display bumps of bone formation.
