                     Fibrous root system is formed by repeatedly branching of radicle at the same time which often develop in group. Fibrous roots absorb water and minerals from the soil. Several roots and branches form this system and the main root cannot be distinguished. Fleshy adventitious roots are swollen due to storage of food. They are of following type (i) Root tuber or tubercular roots, eg, Ipomoea batatas (ii) Fasciculated roots, eg. Dahlia (iii) Palmate roots, eg.
