    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Vocal cords are a pair of elastic membranes that project into the larynx in air breathing vertebrates. Vocal sounds are produced, when expelled air passing through the larynx vibrates the cord. The pitch of sound produced depends on the tension of cords, which is controlled by muscles and cartilage in the larynx. Bronchial tube (Bronchus) is one of the major air tube in the lung. The trachea divides into two main bronchi, one for each lung, which splits into smaller bronchi and then into bronchioles. The walls of the bronchi are stiffened by lumps of cartilage. Glottis is the opening from the pharynx to the trachea (wind pipe). It also serves as the space for vocal cords. Pharynx is the cavity in vertebrates between the mouth and the oesophagus and windpipe (trachea) which serves for passage of both food and respiratory gases.
