  • question_answer
The maximum acceleration of the body executing SHM is Og and maximum velocity is vq the amplitude is given by

    A)  \[\frac{1}{{{a}_{0}}{{v}_{0}}}\]

    B)  \[\frac{{{a}_{0}}^{2}}{{{v}_{0}}}\]

    C)  \[{{v}_{a}}{{a}_{0}}\]

    D)  \[\frac{{{v}_{a}}^{2}}{{{a}_{0}}}\]

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

For a body executing SHM, maximum acceleration \[({{a}_{0}})\] is given by                 \[{{\omega }^{2}}=A={{a}_{0}}\]                               ?. (i) and maximum velocity \[({{v}_{o}})\] is                                 \[A\omega ={{v}_{0}}\]                 ?. (ii) where A is amplitude, co the angular velocity. Squaring Eq. (ii) and dividing by Eq. (i), we get                 \[A=\frac{v_{0}^{2}}{{{a}_{0}}}\]
