    Solution :

                     Lamina or leaf blade is the terminal thin usually flattened green photosynthetic part of leaf. Lamina is of different shapes (i) Acicular : Lamina is needle shaped, long narrow and cylindrical, eg, Pinus. (ii) Linear : Long narrow and flat like a ribbon with more or less parallel margin, eg, grasses. (iii) Lanceolate: Like a Lance; tapering towards the base and apex but more gradually towards the apical end, eg, bamboo, Nerium, Eucalyptus. (iv) Oblong : Almost rectangular, eg, banana (Musa paradisiaca).
