                     Semen is milky viscous and alkaline fluid ejaculated by male reproductive system. The fluid part of semen is secreted by epididymis and accessary glands (seminal vesicles, prostate gland and Cowpers glands). It is meant for providing medium for movement of sperm. Seminal vesicle is one of a pair of glands in male mammals that secrete a liquid component of semen into the vas deferens. Prostate gland is gland in male mammals that surrounds and opens into the urethra, where, it leaves the bladder. During ejaculation, it secretes a slightly alkaline fluid into the semen that activates the sperms and prevent them form stricking together. Cowpers gland or bulbo urethral gland is a pair of pea-sized gland that lies beneath the prostate gland. It secretes an alkaline fluid that forms part of the semen. This fluid neutralizes the acidic environment of the urethra, thereby protecting the sperm.
