Mesencephalon (mid brain) contains group of nerve cells scattered in white matter. The nerve cells are involved in controlling muscle tone and modifying some moter activities. Hypothalamus is the floor of diencephalon and is connected with brain stem. It maintains homeostasis and bodys internal equilibrium and controlling involuntary behaviour. Cerebellum lies behind the cerebrum and above medulla oblongata. It is the second largest part, which is very well developed in humans.
