                     Kinetic energy is the energy due to velocity of bullet which is utilized in doing work in penetrating the bullet in the block. Therefore                 \[\frac{1}{2}m{{v}^{2}}=Fs\] where m is mass, v is velocity, F is force, 5 the displacement \[\therefore \]  \[F=\frac{m{{v}^{2}}}{2\,s}\] Given,   \[m=30\,g=30\times {{10}^{-3}}kg\],                 v = 500 m/s,                 \[s=12\,cm=12\times {{10}^{-2}}m\] \[\therefore \]  \[F=\frac{30\times {{10}^{-3}}\times {{(500)}^{2}}}{2\times 12\times {{10}^{-2}}}\]                 = 31250 N
