    A)  kidney

    B)  heart

    C)  duodenum

    D)  thyroid gland

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Atrial Natriuredc hormone is a peptide hormone, produced by certain cells in the wall of the atrium of the heart, that promotes the excretion of sodium ions in the urine. Secretion of ANP is triggered by increase stretch of the atrial wall, due to raised blood pressure or increased blood volume. It acts to inhibit sodium reabsorption in the kidney and the secretion of aldosterone by the adrenal gland. Duodenum is a wider tube that forms a U-shaped arch with stomach. Brunnefs glands occur in it, which secrete mucus and enterocytes for producing electrolyte. It secretes many enzymes like-enterokinase aminopeptidases, nucleosidase etc. In the DCT and connecting tubules, membrane permeability do water depends upon anti diuretic hormone (ADH) or vasopressin. This hormone helps in absorption of water from the nephric filtrate and pass out hypertonic urine. Thyroid gland is the largest endocrine gland and it is the only gland that stores its products. It secretes thyromine and calcitonin.
