    A)  discovery of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA)

    B)  discovery of ultracentrifuge

    C)  germ theory of disease

    D)  gene splicing

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Pasteur and Koch are related with Germ line theory of disease. Koch was awarded Nobel Prize for identifying ?Tuberculin? in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Robert Koch is known as father of Bacteriology. Ultracentrifuge technique was given by T Swedberg. Nucleic Acid were isolated by Swiss scientist F Miescher (1869) from the nuclei of pus cells and named it nuclein. The term nucleic acid was given by Altmann (1899). During RNA processing, introns (interviral sequence) are removed so that an active mRNA is otained through a process called splicing.
