                     \[_{90}T{{h}^{228}}{{\xrightarrow{{}}}_{83}}B{{i}^{212}}+x_{2}^{4}\alpha +y_{1-}^{0}\beta \] 228 = 212 + 4x or 4x = 16 or x = 4 = 83 + 2x - y = 83 + 8 - y  or y = 1
