                     Aldehyde containing number. \[\alpha \]-H atom on reaction with concentrated alkali, undergoes disproportionation reaction. This is also known as Cannizzaros reaction. Since propanal contains \[\alpha \]-H atom hence it will not undergo disproportionation reaction.
