The following is a coordination compound of iron

    A)  chlorophyll

    B)  Mohrs salt

    C)  haemoglobin

    D)  vitamin \[{{B}_{12}}\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Haemoglobin, contains two part viz, haem and globular protein. Haem part of haemoglobin contains one \[F{{e}^{2+}}\] ion (iron) coordinated in a square planar array with the four N-atoms of a porphyrin molecule. Chlorophyll is a coordination compound of Mg, vitamin \[{{B}_{12}}\] is a coordination compound of Co while Mohrs salt is a double salt, not a coordination compound.
