    Solution :

                     Let velocity of jet plane is v' \[\sin {{30}^{o}}=\frac{v'}{v}\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[v'=v\sin {{30}^{o}}=v\times \frac{1}{2}=\frac{v}{2}\]
