    Solution :

The fruit of peach is drupe. Drupes are single seeded fruits characterised by the presence of a stoney endocarp. The epicarp is thin and mesocarp fleshly. They are also called as stone fruits e.g.. Mango (Mangifera), coconut (Cocos), almond, plum, walnut, Zizyphus. The seeds of pea. gram, tomato, bean etc., are non-endospermic  or exalbuminous. Such seeds do not have separate endosperm and the food is stored in the cotyledons. Endospermic or albuminous seeds have food stored in endosperm e.g. maize, castor tamarind etc.
