    B)  1 and 2 are correct

    C)  2 and 4 are correct

    D)  1 and 3 are correct

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Some small sized plants (eg. Primula, Colocasia, Tropeolum and Tomato etc.) secrete water drops from margins of their leaves. This loss of water in liquid form is called guttation. It takes place through special pores present at the tips of veins. These pores are called hydathodes which are always open. Root pressure is the main cause of guttation. The water lost in guttation is not pure water but is a solution of minerals.
