    C)  2 and 4 are correct

    D)  1 and 3 are correct

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Lactose is a disaccharide present in the milk of mammals. It is made up of one glucose and one galactose unit joined by \[\text{ }\!\!\beta\!\!\text{ -}\,\text{1,}\,\text{4-}\] glycosidic linkage. In plants, the epidermal cells secrete a waxy substance called cutin (a fatty acid polymer), which forms a layer of variable thickness called cuticle within and on the outer surface of cell wall. Raffinose is an oligosaccharide (infact trisaccharide). It consists of three monosaccharide units namely D-glucose, D-fructose and D-galactose. Maltose is a reducing sugar found in germinating seeds and malt.
