                     From Faraday?s first law, \[w=\frac{E}{96500}\times i\times t\] Let the oxidation state of metal is\[x\]. \[\therefore \] \[E=\frac{M}{x}\]             [where, M = atomic weight] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[22.2=\frac{177}{x\times 96500}\times 2\times 5\times 60\times 60\] \[\therefore \]  \[x=\frac{177\times 2\times 5\times 3600}{22.2\times 96500}\] Or           \[x=3\]
