                     Chicory powder is a flavouring material which is mixed with coffee powder (from seeds of Coffea  arabica). Chicory powder is obtained from roots of Cichorium intybus of family-Compositae. Tea is dried leaves of Thea sinesis (family Theaceae). Ephedrine is obtained from stem of Ephedra gerardiana. It is useful against asthama and as cardiac stimulant.
