                     Key Idea: The half-life period and rate constant of reaction are related as follows \[{{t}_{1/2}}=\frac{0.693}{k}\] Given,\[k=1.7\times {{10}^{-5}}{{s}^{-1}}\] \[\therefore \]  \[{{t}_{1/2}}=\frac{0.693}{1.7\times {{10}^{-5}}}\]                 \[=0.41\times {{10}^{5}}s\]                 \[=\frac{0.41\times {{10}^{5}}}{60\times 60}h\] \[=11.3h\]
