                     Rh factor was first of all reported in RBCs of Macaco, rhesus (rhesus monkey) by Landsteiner and Wiener in 1940. It is found only in man and rhesus monkey and is not reported from other animals. Persons without Rh factor are Rh-. Rh factor is dominant character in heredity. Percentage of Rh positive people in India is 97% of the population the disease erythroblastosis foetalis in human embryo is caused due to disadjustment of Rh factor t.e., when father is Rh positive and mother is Rh negative.
