    A)  Deforestation

    B)  Afforestation

    C)  Pollution

    D)  Soil erosion

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Deforestation is the deplition of forest resources. It's main cause is the explosion of human and livestock population with the increased demand requirements of the basic needs. Ideally one third (33%) of land of a country must be covered by forest. In India forest cover is only 19.43%. our of which only 13% are thick forest. India is losing about 1.5 million hectares of forest cover each year. The major effect of deforestation is the loss of precious wild life, rare species of flora and fauna. Directly or indirectly, deforestation caused intensified soil erosion, accentuated floods, drought and the worst pollution. Afforestation or reforestation is the only major way to conserve the natural resources and the previous rare species.
