    Two satellites A and B go around a planet P in circular orbits having radii 4R and R respectively. If the speed of the satellite A is 3v, the speed of the satellite B will be

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

                     The velocity of satellite \[v=\sqrt{\frac{GM}{R}}\] So,          \[\frac{{{v}_{A}}}{{{v}_{B}}}=\sqrt{\frac{{{R}_{B}}}{{{R}_{A}}}}=\sqrt{\frac{R}{4R}}=\frac{1}{2}\] Here,     \[{{v}_{A}}=3v\] \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{3v}{{{v}_{B}}}=\frac{1}{2}\] Or           \[{{v}_{B}}=6v\]
