                     Since,\[{{C}_{6}}{{H}_{12}}{{O}_{6}}\]a crystalline osazone with phenylhydrazine, it must be an aldohexose or ketohexose. Moreover, on reduction with Na, it gives sorbitol and mannitol, it must be fructose.
