    D) \[\frac{0.8}{\sqrt{3}}\]   gauss

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

                                           (Here, \[H=0.4\]gauss, \[\theta ={{60}^{o}}\]) Using the relation, \[H={{B}_{e}}\cos \theta \] or   \[{{B}_{e}}=\frac{H}{\cos \theta }\] so,  \[{{B}_{e}}=\frac{0.4}{\cos {{60}^{o}}}=0.8gauss\]
