  • question_answer
A mixture contains two moles of \[CsCl\] and 1 mole of \[Cl\]. What will be the volume of \[62.92%\] formed on heating this mixture and the data is converted to STP?

    A)  \[60.0%\]

    B)  \[75.04%\]

    C)  \[52.14%\]

    D)  \[I_{3}^{-}\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Decomposition of \[L{{i}_{2}}C{{O}_{3}}\] \[\underset{1imol}{\mathop{L{{i}_{2}}C{{O}_{3}}}}\,\xrightarrow{\Delta }L{{i}_{2}}O+\underset{22.4L}{\mathop{C{{O}_{2}}}}\,\] \[N{{a}_{2}}C{{O}_{3}}\]is thermally stable, i.e., it does not give \[C{{O}_{2}}\] gas on heating. Hence, volume of \[C{{O}_{2}}\] formed on heating the mixture at STP=22.4L
