If\[2+i\]is a root of the equation \[{{x}^{3}}-5{{x}^{2}}+9x-5=0,\]then the other roots are:

    A)  1 and\[2-i\]

    B)                         -1 and\[3+i\]

    C)                         0 and 1

    D)                         -1 and\[i-2\]

    E)                         none of these

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    \[\because \]One root of\[{{x}^{3}}-5{{x}^{2}}+9x-5=0\]is\[2+i,\]then another root will be\[2-i,\] Let\[\alpha \]be third root of given equation. \[\therefore \]\[2+i+2-i+a=5\Rightarrow \alpha =1\]
