    Time-period of spring mass system is \[T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{m}{k}}\] When connected in series \[k=\frac{k}{2}\] When connected in parallel \[k\,=2k\] \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{T}{T\,\,}=\sqrt{\frac{k}{2(2k)}}=\frac{1}{2}\]
