For ball A, \[{{v}_{A}}=u-gt\] For ball B, \[{{v}_{B}}=0+gt\] \[\therefore \] Relative speed, \[\Delta \overrightarrow{v}={{\overrightarrow{v}}_{A}}-{{\overrightarrow{v}}_{B}}\]                                 \[=(u-gt)\hat{j}-(-gt\,\hat{j})\]                                 \[=u\hat{j}\]
