    Solution :

    From the relation, \[{{\upsilon }_{m}}=\sqrt{\frac{\gamma P}{\rho }}\] where, P = pressure of the gas \[\rho \] = density of the gas Since, density of moist air is less than that of dry air i.e.             \[{{\rho }_{m}}<{{\rho }_{d}}\] Therefore,     \[{{\upsilon }_{m}}<{{\upsilon }_{d}}\]
