    Agglutination is die dumping together of cells, usually as a result of reaction between specific antigens and antibodies in blood and lymph, forming a natural defence against foreign materials, including bacterial cells. Blood group O possesses both antibodies a and V thus, when RBCs containing both A-and B antigens are mixed with blood  group-O, they agglutinate.
