Then \[V={{I}_{g}}(G+R)\] or \[R=\frac{V}{{{I}_{g}}}-G\] \[R=\frac{3V}{5\times {{10}^{-4}}}-50\Omega \] \[=6000\Omega -50\Omega =5950\Omega \]
