A) Golgi bodies
B) Lysosome
C) Mitochondria
D) Chloroplast
Correct Answer: A
Solution :
According to Mollen Hour and Moore (1967) groups of flat, plate like cisternae are attached to other similar cisternae with the help of tubules called intercisternal tubules. Hence, according to these workers a group of cisternae in a dictyosome and many dictyosomes inter connected with tubules are called Golgi apparatus. Some functions of Golgi bodies are (i) Secretion-Polysaccharides, sulfo and sialomucins and mucopolysaccharides have been found in the cavities of dictyosome, enzymes are also found in dictyosomes. The proteins are also synthesized in ribosomes and enter in the dictyosomes. (ii) Cell wall formation-Golgi complex secretes substances most probably hemi cellulose due to which development of cell wall takes place. You need to login to perform this action.
