    Solution :

    Ans.    Let the I (lowest) number be x.             Then, II number will be \[(x+9)\].             According to the question,             \[{{(x+9)}^{2}}-{{x}^{2}}=981\]              \[\{(x+9+x)\}\,\,\{(x+9)-x\}=981\]             \[9\{2x+9\}=981\]             \[18x=900\]             \[x=50\]
